- Plastic packaging compliance
- Recycled-content obligations, marking and labelling, compostable-plastic certification support and single-use-plastic ban audits.
Common questions
Which returns does a hazardous-waste generator have to file?
Under the Hazardous and Other Wastes Rules 2016 a generator needs a valid authorisation, files the Form 4 annual return, and raises a Form 10 manifest for every consignment sent to an authorised channel. Waste may be stored on site for no more than 90 days, with labelling and storage that meet the Rules. We keep the authorisation current and the records inspection-ready.
Does a hospital need a separate bio-medical waste authorisation?
Yes. A healthcare facility that generates bio-medical waste needs an authorisation under the Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules 2016, in addition to any consent it holds. It also needs an agreement with a Common Bio-medical Waste Treatment Facility, barcode tracking and a Form IV annual report. We handle the application, the CBWTF liaison, and the segregation audits and training that keep it valid.
Who has EPR obligations?
Producers, importers and brand owners of plastic packaging, electrical and electronic equipment (including solar PV modules), batteries, tyres and used oil each carry Extended Producer Responsibility obligations. Each stream has its own registration, portal and annual return. We register, reconcile the data and file the returns.
What does bulk-waste-generator compliance involve for a campus or hotel?
Bulk waste generators under the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 must segregate waste at source and process wet waste on their own premises as far as possible. We prepare the segregation plan and design the on-site organic processing that fits the site: composters, biomethanation or a materials recovery facility.
